Membership information - How to join VetsCoR
Under the Bylaws adopted by the Board of Directors on January 9, 2002 and modified on January 14, 2002, Veterans for Constitutional Restoration will not have members as such. Those people who wish to become associated with Veterans for Constitutional Restoration (VetsCoR), Inc. may join in accordance with Section 2 of Article V of the Bylaws as summarized below:
To join VetsCoR, a person must fit one of the following categories:
(1) Be an honorably discharged or retired member of the Armed Forces of the United States,
(2) Be an Active Duty member or a member of the National Guard or Reserve of the Armed Forces of the United States, or
(3) Be the spouse, widow or widower of either (1) or (2) above.
Those persons wishing to join VetsCoR and who are not Veterans, a member of the National Guard or Reserve or on Active Duty or the spouse, widow or widower of a veteran or National Guard, Reserve or Active Duty member, may join the auxilary organization when it is started.
Voting associates must be honorably discharged, separated or retired veterans who have paid their yearly dues and are in good standing. Dues for these associates are $25.00 per year/$250.00 for lifetime association. Voting associates may be elected to the Board of Directors.
Non-voting associates will be Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve members of the Armed Forces of the United States, and spouses, widows or widowers of either Active Duty, National Guard or Reserve members or veterans. Dues for these associates are $15 per year. Spouses, widows or widower associates may also become lifetime associates for $150.00. Active Duty and Reserve associates may become voting members upon honorable discharge or retirement from military service.
Adult Auxilary - All non-veteran associates who are not the spouse, widow or widower of a veteran or active duty service member will be non-voting members of the Adult Auxilary. $20.00 per year or $200.00 for a lifetime association.
Junior Auxilary - All minor children of associates as outlined above, can become members of the junior auxilary until they reach the age of 18, when they must join as one of the above categories. Junior Auxilary associates fee is $10.00 per year.
(1) A photocopy of your DD214,
(2) A photocopy of the retirement ID card issued by your branch of service,
(3) A photocopy of your Honorable Discharge or Retirement Certificate, or
(4) Other such proof of service as may be acceptable to the Board of Directors.
Spouses, widows or widowers must also submit proof of marriage to a veteran or active duty or reserve member of the Armed Forces.
Non-veteran members can just fill out the form specifying that they are not veterans and submit it with their membership fee.
